In 2026, the McGuireWoods Emerging Manager Conference will expand into two distinct events — Buyouts and Beyond Buyouts — designed to deliver more focused and effective relationship-building.

• McGuireWoods Emerging Manager Conference – Buyouts will be dedicated exclusively to emerging managers raising a control buyout strategy.

• McGuireWoods Emerging Manager Conference – Beyond Buyouts will convene emerging managers across growth equity, private credit, public equities, real assets, and venture capital, creating a broader multi-strategy forum for Emerging Managers and LPs.

Both conferences are tailored for Emerging Managers raising Funds I–III and LPs actively making primary fund commitments. Each conference is a two-day program featuring a day and a half of mutually scheduled, curated Emerging Manager-LP meetings based on strategy alignment, a half day of panels with leading allocators and managers, and evening cocktail receptions designed for network and relationship building.

Applications for both events are reviewed by a committee to ensure highly tailored and intentional experience for Emerging Managers and LPs.

The 2025 McGuireWoods Emerging Manager Conference, held April 29–30 at The Ritz-Carlton in Dallas, brought together more than 1,200 emerging managers and limited partners from around the world. As the cornerstone of McGuireWoods’ Emerging Manager Program, the two-day event featured over 5,000 formal speed-networking meetings and five candid panel discussions led by partners from the firm’s Fund Formation & Investment Management Practice Group and Emerging Managers Industry Team. The conference highlighted the importance of differentiation, transparency, and disciplined execution in today’s fundraising environment.
